Events

EVENT THE THIRD:

At some stage in human history a line was drawn between art and science. Thing is, we want to rub it out. If you’re a scientist who fancies having a go at writing, get yourself along to King’s this Sunday. No experience is necessary and there will be free cake. Sign up on Facebook here.

EVENT THE SECOND:

First up this Friday (18 Feb) will be Kristen Treen and Jordan Savage. Make sure you get yourself along, needles, sandwiches, ears, none of the above.

Second up, Friday (4 March) we will be knitting, eating lunch, chatting and hearing lunch poems from Amber Medland, Orla Polten and Sophie Seita.

EVENT THE FIRST:

THE MAYS XIX presents ‘OUTSIDE THE MARGINS’, a poetry-writing workshop.

1st February, Queens’ Old Kitchens, 7-8.30pm.

Anyone and everyone is welcome, from Shakespeare to the illiterate. Some books will be provided, but bring your own if you can.

Facebook event HERE!

We will likely drink and chat also. We want to meet you.

Throughout 2011 we will be holding a series of events in Oxford and Cambridge to promote the Mays XIX. If you’re a student at either university and would like to lend us your brain and get involved organising these events, drop us an email at mays@varsity.co.uk - we’d love to hear from you.

Why not check out some other friendly, fun and thought provoking syllabic happenings in Cambridge?
